The purpose of Tsuu
T'ina's BAEC is to assist students in enhancing their education and employment
skills. The BAEC instills a feeling of pride and self-worth in Tsuu T’ina
Nation members by providing a culturally holistic alternative education centre
which seeks to ensure adult functional literacy, adult education upgrading,
General Equivalency Diploma, computer training, and work experience
programming, is available for all Tsuu T’ina Nation members. Providing the programming encourages Nation
members to overcome various outcomes, such as diminished social growth and a
reduced sense of control over their lives and life circumstances that they may
have experienced as a result of their decision to leave school.

Our present staff have recognized the need
to expand our existing BAEC program delivery and services in order to
accommodate all Tsuu T’ina student/clients that live in the community.

Our proposed program model seeks to offer a
diversified range of services from academic achievement & upgrading to job
preparation and placement to trades apprenticeship entrance preparation;

This program model has been designed so
that all interested Nation members can benefit from our proposed services.
Mission Mission
Statement of Tsuu T`ina Bull Head Adult Education Centre As a service program, we are committed
to enhancing marketable skills that allows entry into the labour market; this
will be accomplished by purchasing skill development program for individuals or
groups as well as offering services that encourages permanent employment. Values promoted through Tsuu T`ina Bull Head Adult Education Centre ProgramThe delivery of the Tsuu T`ina Bull Head Adult Education Centre program will be rooted in the following values: - We will emphasize and promote respect, fairness, honesty and integrity in our interactions with clientele and their families.
- We will promote programming that will advance common good for the Tsuu T`ina community, maintain family unity and be reflective of the ancestral value system of the Tsuu T`ina life ways.
- We will encourage open communication based in knowledge, wisdom and equity when dealing with agencies whose vested interest is also human and community development.
